How do I work out the yearly cost of my subscriptions?

Multiply each monthly subscription by 12 and add any annual subscriptions at their full price. The calculator does this for every row and also shows the five-year total.

How are annual subscriptions counted?

An annual payment is divided by 12 to give a monthly equivalent, so you can compare it fairly with monthly services.

Which subscription should I cancel first?

Start with the largest annual cost that you use least. Check notice periods and whether you would lose anything, such as saved files, before cancelling.

Does this calculator connect to my bank or cancel anything?

No. You type the subscriptions in yourself, nothing is connected and nothing is cancelled. Your figures stay in your browser.

Will asking to cancel get me a discount?

Sometimes. Some people are offered a lower price, extra time or a pause when they cancel, but offers change often and are never guaranteed. Our cancel guides only list options confirmed on the company's own help pages, with the date we last checked.

What happens when I open the script in ChatGPT or Claude?

A new tab opens with the prompt filled in. Nothing is sent until you click the button, and then the prompt goes to that service under its own terms. You can also copy the prompt and paste it anywhere. AI answers can be wrong, so check anything important on the company's own website.
